Mode of Action:
Tridemorph is a ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor, by inhibition of sterol reduction (sterol-Δ14-reductase) and isomerisation (Δ8 to Δ7-isomerase).
Tridemorph is a systemic fungicide with eradicant action.
Tridemorph can be absorbed by the leaves and roots, giving some protective action.
Usage of Tridemorph:
Tridemorph controls Erysiphe graminis in cereals, Mycosphaerella spp. in bananas, Corticium salmonicolor and Exobasidium vexans in tea, and Oidium heveae in hevea.
Tridemorph can be mixed with carbendazim to extend the spectrum of cereal diseases controlled.
Phytotoxicity of Tridemorph:
Scorch may occur on some winter wheat varieties under certain climatic conditions.
Compatibility of Tridemorph:
Tridemorph is also used with a number of other fungicides including: cyproconazole, fenbuconazole, fenpropi-morph, flusilazole, propiconazole, tebucon-azole, triadimenol.
