  • Trisodium phosphate is a white, granular or crystalline solid.

  • Trisodium phosphate is often partially hydrated and may range from anhydrous trisodium phosphate, to the dodecahydrate.

  • Trisodium phosphate is efflorescent in air,

  • Trisodium phosphate is highly soluble in water producing an alkaline solution, but insoluble in organic solvent like alcohol.

  • Trisodium phosphate dissolves in water, effloresces easily in the dried air.

Uses:

  • Trisodium phosphate can be used as cleaning agent in electroplating, boiler compound, mental antirusting agent, dyestuff intermediate desiccant, sugar juice purifying agent, photographic developer, coagulating agent of rubber late, color fixer in fabric dyeing and flux in enamel ware manufacturing and so on.

  • Food grade Trisodium phosphate can be used as quality improver, emulsifier, nutrition supplements in food industry.
