Application

Descriptions:

  • Trichloroethylene is a colorless, transparent and volatile liquid, which evaporates quickly into the air.

  • Trichloroethylene is denser than water, with a sweet odor.

  • Trichloroethylene is slightly insoluble in water and soluble in alcohol, ether acetone and chloroform, and soluble in a variety of fixed oil and volatile oil.

  • Trichloroethylene is non-combustible under normal conditions.

  • Under wet condition, Trichloroethylene can generate hydrochloric acid upon exposure to light.

  • High concentrations of vapor will burn at high temperatures.

  • Trichloroethylene will be decomposed upon heating and emit toxic chloride.

  • Trichloroethylene has fierce reaction with barium, nitrogen tetroxide, lithium, magnesium, liquid oxygen, ozone, potassium hydroxide, potassium nitrate, sodium hydroxide, titanium, etc.

Uses:

  • Trichloroethylene is excellent solvent, mainly used in electronic, electroplating cleaning industry, metal surface degreasing agent, metal plating paint cleaning agent, the battery industry extraction agent.

  • Trichloroethylene can be used as dry  cleaningagent to scour cotton, wool and other fabrics in textile industry.

  • Trichloroethylene can be used as an extraction solvent for greases, oils, fats, waxes, etc.

  • Trichloroethylene can be used as intermediate for production of organic synthesis and pesticides.

  • Trichloroethylene can be used in the manufacture of indigo and other dyes.

  • Trichloroethylene can be used as non flammable solvents and analytical reagents.
