Application

Descriptions:

  • Maleic anhydride is white crystalline granule, block, briquettes or fused mass, with a pungent odor.

  • Maleic anhydride is soluble in ethanol, ethyl ether and acetone, insoluble in petroleum ether and carbon tetrachloride.

  • Maleic anhydride reacts slowly with water to form maleic acid and heat.

  • Maleic anhydride is easy sublimation, vapors, fumes and dusts strong irritate the eyes, skin and mucous membranes.

Uses:

  • Maleic anhydride is an important raw material mainly used for synthesizing unsaturated polyester resins.

  • Maleic anhydride can be used as a preservative for fats and oils, etc.

  • Maleic anhydride can be used in pesticides, pharmaceutics, coating, paints, inks, lubricating oil additives, paper chemicals, textile finishing agents and surfactants.

  • Maleic anhydride can be also used for producing butyl glycol, Ding gamma lactone, tetrahydrofuran, maleic acid, fumaric acid and tetrahydro anhydride organic chemicals and fine chemicals.
