Application

Mode of Action:

• Cypermethrin acts on the nervous system of the insect, and disturbs the function of neurons by interaction with the sodium channel.

• Cypermethrin is non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action.

• Cypermethrin also exhibits anti-feeding action.

• Cypermethrin has wide uses in cotton, cereals, vegetables and fruit, for food storage, in public health and in animal husbandry.

• Its structure is based on pyrethrum, a natural insecticide which is contained in chrysanthemum flowers, but it has a higher biological activity and is more stable than its natural model.

• Good residual activity on treated plants.

Usage of Cypermethrin:

• Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide used to control many pests, including moth pests of cotton, fruit and vegetable crops.

• Cypermethrin is also used for crack, crevice and spot treatment for control of insect pests in stores, warehouses, industrial buildings, houses, apartment buildings, greenhouses, laboratories and on ships, railcars, buses, trucks and aircraft.

• Cypermethrin may also be used in non-food areas in schools, nursing homes, hospitals, restaurants, hotels, and in food processing plants and as a barrier treatment insect repellent for horses.

• Cypermethrin can control a wide range of insects, especially Lepidoptera, but also Coleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, and other classes, in fruit (including citrus), vines, vegetables, potatoes, cucurbits, lettuce, capsicums, tomatoes, cereals, maize, soya beans, cotton, coffee, cocoa, rice, pecans, oilseed rape, beet, ornamentals, forestry, etc.

• Cypermethrin control flies and other insects in animal houses;

• Cypermethrin control mosquitoes, cockroaches, houseflies and other insect pests in public health.

• Cypermethrin is also used as an animal ectoparasiticide.
