 Application

Descriptions:

  • Sodium dithionite is a whitish to light yellow crystalline solid having a sulfur dioxide-like odor.

  • Sodium dithionite spontaneously heats on contact with air and moisture.

  • This heat may be sufficient to ignite surrounding combustible materials.

  • Sodium dithionite is soluble in water.

Uses:

  • It's widely used in textile industry for vat dyeing, reduction cleaning, printing and stripping, textile textile bleaching.

  • It's also used in bleaching paper pulps, especially mechanical pulps, it's the most fittable bleaching agent in pulps.

  • It's used in bleaching kaolin clay, fur bleaching and reductive whitening, bleaching of bamboo products and straw products.

  • It's used as reducing agent in chemical industry.

  • The food additive grade of Sodium Hydrosulfite is used as bleaching agent and preservative dried fruits, dried vegetable, vermicelli, rock sugar, caramel, candy, liquid glucose, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and canned mushrooms.
